Captain Barrel

Ahoy, stinky pirate! Captain Barrel is our second production, an arcade platform game designed and coded for the Neo Geo, and coming to the Dreamcast, PSP, PC... And probably more!

Grab your bicorn, your sword, and a couple of cherry bombs and get ready for some  barrel-kicking action! At the end of a most adventurous journey to Piggy Castle, the greatest treasure in the world awaits!

Why is it familiar?

If you know your classics, you’ve already played a game like this: jump up the screen, neutralize enemies, and collect bonuses for score! Captain Barrel stuns his enemies with his sword, then drops a barrel over them and kicks them down the screen to knock out more foes.

Why is it different?

In every level of Captain Barrel, you start over and collect your weapons again, choosing the path that will best suit your goals. You want to play safe? Rush towards the bomb, and get rid of enemies from a distance. You want to score points? Just grab the sword, get the barrels rolling - and avoid picking up the bomb for extra points!

Why is it a lot of fun?

You’ll find Captain Barrel is very easy to get into, but offers the replay value you expect from an arcade game. Once you master all the mechanics and have learnt the levels, you will be coming back again and again for a higher score.

If the enemy you knock out was trapped in a barrel, you’ll get a ruby (500pts); if it was on the ground you’ll get an emerald (800pts); if it was active you’ll get a diamond (1000pts)... And if you manage to knock 4 or more with a single barrel, you’ll get a treasure chest (5000pts)! Not enough? The 3rd time you do that within a World, instead of a chest, you’ll get a map to a secret bonus area that will fill your pirate’s pockets with points! Think you can do more? Challenge the bosses and grab gold coins right under their nose. Really want to break a record? Speedrun and complete the game in one life! Still can’t get enough? Have a buddy join the game, and see which of you gets more treasure!

Cyborg Force

As a member of mankind’s most top-elite military corps, your mission is to save the universe from the mad tyrant of Mars’s ultimate weapon of mass destruction: the Necro-Doomizer. Seemingly endless waves of hostile mutants, cyber-troops, air and armoured units are in the way - but they picked the wrong side, as one member of the Cyborg Force can wipe them out single-handedly… and you can even be joined by a team mate !

Why is it familiar?

Cyborg Force uses a classic and easy-to-grasp control system: shoot, jump, throw grenades, aim your gun in 8 directions, and pick up bonuses on your way to the right side of the screen. Pretty straightforward, right?

Why is it different?

Mastering the weapons in your arsenal is particularly important in Cyborg Force. Some just spit hails of projectiles; others have a slow reload time that requires you to shoot sharp and wisely. Some will cross obstacles and pick that enemy who was carelessly taunting you from the height of a platform; others will ricochet off them. Some will tear through flesh and metal; others will have increased (or poor!) efficiency against either. Some of them will be simple aim-and-shoot-straight guns; others will have different physics and travel speeds.

Why is it a lot of fun?

True to its arcade inspiration, Cyborg Force is not an easy game. As you play, progress, learn, and become a proficient cyber action hero, you won’t just want to kill all the bad guys - you’ll want to kill them all, unharmed, and with style. You’ll want to beat that boss, see the next level, complete the game, see its true ending, do it in one credit, do it in one life… And do that killer score that no one can beat! But you’ll enjoy just as much the more laid back mayhem of just running through the game and blowing stuff up alone or with a friend. A cyborg’s life is like a box of ammo!
